The course then reviews how to read a survey and describes how boundary disputes arise and how they might be resolved.

This interactive course teaches the student to "read" a real estate survey. The student will gain an in depth understanding of the information shown on a survey and learn how to find potential problems, whether representing or insuring one of the parties.

This course reviews basic information about liens in general, including priority issues, and continues by describing and comparing different types of liens, including judgment liens, construction liens, tax liens, and condominium liens. Duration of liens and homestead attachment are also discussed. Note: Mortgage liens are covered in the Mortgages and Other Security Instruments course.

Mortgages Documents reviews some common terms found in lender security documents, discusses priority issues and how to change priority, compares mortgages to other types of security instruments, and introduces the topic of how to close reverse mortgages. Recent mortgage foreclosure challenges are discussed, in addition to foreclosure alternatives, such as short sales.
